Young and ambitious
Aphiwe Mohlomi, a proudly South African young entrepreneur and home kitchen chef, is making waves in the hospitality industry. Born and raised in the lower south coast of Port Shepstone, Kwa Zulu Natal, Aphiwe has always had a passion for cooking.
After completing high school, she decided to pursue her culinary dreams by enrolling in a catering school. Aphiwe honed her craft by working in different restaurants and gaining experience in various service environments.
"I've always loved the idea of being my own boss and creating my own menu. So, I decided to start my own business where I could work as a private chef for guests houses and B&Bs," says Aphiwe.
As a private chef, Aphiwe offers bespoke menus tailored to meet the specific needs of her clients. Her dishes boast the unique flavors of her native South African cuisine combined with modern twists to create an unforgettable dining experience.
"I love to experiment with different ingredients and create beautiful plates that not only taste but look amazing too," says Aphiwe.
As Aphiwe's reputation grows, so does her passion for mentoring other aspiring chefs. She believes that her journey can help inspire others to pursue their dreams.
Aphiwe is a true testament that with hard work and determination, anything is possible. She hopes that her journey will inspire others to chase after their passions, no matter where they come from.
